Stunning wedding venues

The Roseland Peninsula is blessed with a number of fabulous weddling/civil ceremony venues:

• The magnificent St Just In Roseland Church,
• The traditional Gerrans Church,
• The swish Tresanton Hotel, and
  
• The stunning setting of St Mawes Castle.

With so many great wedding venues in close proximity, finding accommodation on The Roseland for the weekend can be difficult.  If you are attending a wedding between April and the end of September, we recommend booking your accommodation well ahead of time.  At Roundhouse Barns, we're only:

• 2 miles away from St Just In Roseland Church,
  
• 3 miles from Gerrans Church, and
  
• 4 miles from The Tresanton Hotel and St Mawes Castle.

Flexible accommodation to meet your needs

Often, weddings take place mid-late afternoon and guests are sometimes at a "loose end" filling the day until the main event starts.  There are a number of options here at Roundhouse Barns.  Why not have a late breakfast - especially if you've travelled a long way the previous evening?  We're happy cooking breakfast until 10:00am if that suits you better.

Alternatively, after breakfast, take a stroll down to Turnaware Point or along the Messack Peninsula for stunning views of the Fal Estuary and surrounding countryside.... If you're lucky, you might even see a seal of pod of dolphins.

Failing that, simply relax in our gardens with the morning papers, more tea/coffee/fruit juice and perhaps some soft fruits picked from our garden.  We'll put you under no pressure whatsoever to leave your room early. 

By prior arrangements, we can also provide cold lunches such as:

• A sandwich made with locally caught crab, or
• A lobster salad.

As both of our B&B rooms have got fridges, you can also bring with you a bottle or two of your favourite Chablis or Sauvignon Blanc to accompany your lunch (unfortunately we're not licenced to sell beers, wines or spirits).

We can even provide you with an iron and ironing board to ensure your turn up at the wedding crease-free!

Book your taxi early

With perhaps 600 people attending weddings on The Roseland on a typical Saturday evening, taxis are often in very short supply.  To avoid disappointmemt, we recommend that you book one as soon as possible.  

There are three local firms (listed below in no particular order) that can be booked.

After booking a taxi, it is worth dropping the firm an email/letter to confirm your booking. Sometimes, the driver is on the road when calls come through and may lose that scrap of paper that was used to take down your details!

Reuniting you with your car the following day

Provided you car is somewhere on The Roseland, we provide a complimentary service to drive you back to your car the following morning to reunite you with it.  All you need to do is remember where you parked your car the previous day......
