Cornwall has started to bloom

Well it’s a little bit later than previous years but we do now have daffodils aplenty down our driveway and the snowdrops are poking their heads out too, so it feels a little as though spring is on its way……

Further afield at tThe Lost Gardens of  Heligan they report acacia and witchhazel flowering and like us they have buds on their camellias and rhododendrons so lets hope there are not too many more frosts.

The birds have been eating us out of house and home but it’s been lovely to see so many different species this winter – huge numbers of fieldfares and 0n a couple of occasions a firecrest has landed to eat seeds off the floor.

Down at Turnaware the seal is still around and is currently joined by around forty swans, a shag and several oystercatchers – there is always something to see.
