We're really proud of our website.  We've only got 3 self catering cottages and 2 B&B rooms. 

At Visit Cornwall's annual Tourism Awards on 15 October 2009, we were awarded the Silver Award for our website. 

Commenting on the recognition, co-owner Mark Sadler said "We're absolutely delighted to have won Silver.  Other entrants have a number of staff and many tens of thousands of pounds to invest in their web site.  There's only the two of us and a modest marketing budget to call upon.  It shows that we are really punching above our weight!

Adding to this, wife and co-owner Barbara said "The web is becoming so much more pervasive in all our lives.  Tourists rightly expect the the leisure sector to provide more sophisticated and content rich websites.  We hope that we are leading by example."

The Silver Award for website of the year tops a great year for Roundhouse Barn Holidays:

• 5 Stars and a Silver Award for its B&B accommodation;
• 4 stars and a Gold award for its self catering accommodation; and
• Silver Awards from the Green Tourism Business Scheme for both its self catering and B&B operations.  

"We must be doing something right" chuckled Mark.

In the coming weeks, we will be making new on-line services available on our website.  Guests will not only be able to book and pay on line for their accommodation, but they will also be able to order one of three different goodie boxes that will be available to welcome them when they check in. 

Hudson Armstrong and LookSystems have helped Roundhouse Barn Holidays design and build their existing website and are helping Mark and Barbara deploy their new on-line booking and payment system.
