It's a mammoth task, we've only got 12 weeks complete it all, but we're planning to replace all the bathrooms and kitchens in our self catering cottages.  

We're adding baths in each cottage and warming under-floor heating as well.  We're putting huge walk in showers in both The Dairy and Cockle Cottage.  The Carthouse will get an over-the-bath shower.  How are we squeezing both a bath and a shower into The Dairy we hear you ask?....That's our surprise for now!

The 3 kitchens are also getting a complete make-over - new units, granite worktops, fully integrated fridge/freezers, ovens, microwaves and dishwashers.  We also replacing the cutlery, crockery and dining tables and chairs - there's surely no excuse now not to book one of our cottages in 2010!...

As you can imagine, the schedule is pretty tight.  To enable us to hit our deadlines, we've decided to close entirely between 4th January and 25th March 2010. 

We've also deferred our annual grading inspection from Enjoy England until after the refurbishment work is complete.  We hope that our investments will earn us 5 stars for each cottage.
