Refurbishment Programme Ahead of Schedule

After a really enjoyable Christmas, we've now rolled up our sleeves to project manage our largest and most ambitions refurbishment programme to date:

  • new kitchens and bathrooms for all 3 of our self catering cottages
  • a new plant room housing more energy efficient boilers and new pressurised hot water storage tanks
  • the installation fo solar panels on our roof.

Follow the trials and tribulations of our refurbishmnt programme via our Blog - or alternatively pop back to this page once a week and read what's going on.

Latest news

The Carthouse kitchen and bathroom installation was completed on 17th February.  Cockle Cottage will be complete on 1st March and The Dairy installation work will finish on 10th March.  The decorators go in from 1st March to make it all look beautifiul again and the removal men deliver our furniture back in Mid-March, ready to re-open on time on 26th March.

Here are some images of the work done to date.

Cockle Cottage

Out goes the dividing wall between the lounge and kitchen, and in comes two new windows affording lovely viws of the fields behind Cockle Cottage.  And that bathroom...  it's finally been ripped out (horray).  The kitchen units are now in and the granite worktops are installed together with the new splashbacks.  In the bathroom, the walls have been boarded out, the new bathroom suite installed and the slate tiles have gone down.  They need a jolly good clean and then we're ready for the painter.
