Seafood

You'll find plenty of freshly caught Cornish seafood on the local menus with Wing of St Mawes and Matthew Stevens of St Ives supplying many local restaurants and us. 

If you're staying with us in October then Falmouth Oyster Festival is a must see event that celebrates the oyster industry in Falmouth with celebrations all around the town.

 

Meat

With Cornish reared lamb, beef and much more locally produced meats featuring on many restaurant menus there is plenty to make your mouth water.

Lobbs Farm Shop and Calenick Butchers supply most of our local restaurants.

 

Wine, beer and cider

With wine production thriving in Cornwall's warm climate, a short drive from us, you'll find Polmassick Vineyard. A little further afield, there's also the Camel Valley Vineyard.

Beer and Cider of course have a much longer association with Cornwall.  Three of our local brewers offer brewery trips; Skinners Brewery in Truro, St Austell Brewery and Healeys Cyder Farm.

Humfreys Farm Shop Tel 01872 530417 stocks a range of locally sourced meat, fruit and vegetables, milk plus locally baked biscuits, cakes and ready-cooked meals.

Truro Farmers Market - every Saturday in Lemon Street in Truro stocking an impressive array of locally produced cheeses, preserves, vegetables, meats and fish.

Curgurrell Farm Tel 01872 580243 stocks home grown fruit, vegetables.  Even better, Simon and Charlotte's two children fish the local waters and Charlotte sells their catch -lobsters, crabs, sole, sea bass wonderfully fresh.
