Goodie Boxes in your cottage when you arrive

We know from our own experiences of self-catering holidays that there's nothing worse than having to worry about getting the shopping in before you travel on holiday.  In response to customer demand, we now offer guests the chance to order one of three different your Goodie Boxes from us to get you started on your holiday.  That way. thre's no last minute rushing around the supermarkets the day before you travel here - or worse still on your way down here.  Hopefully, it will also make packing the car less stressful!

There are three different ways you can order your Goodie Box:

• Through our website when you make your booking (if you book and pay on-line);
• Over the telephone when you make your booking with us; or
• Anytime up to a week before you arrve at Roundhouse Barns - simply drop us an email or telephone us. 

 

Cornish Food Market

Alternatively, you can buy your shopping through The Cornish Food Market.  We've struck up a partnership with them and they will deliver a more comprehensive range of locally sourced groceries, locally sourced artisan breads, dairy products, meats and vegetables together with local wines and beers direct to your cottage.  We use The Cornish Food Market for the bulk of our shopping nowadays.  They are as keenly priced as supermarkets, but the money you spend is going back into the local economy and benefits local producers. 

 

.... Unpacked and put away for you

If you order a Goodie Box, we'll do all the unpacking for you as well.  We'll put all your perishables and dairy products away in your fridge or feezer.  We'll just leave preseves, biscuits, tea bags, bread etc. out on your kitchen worktop, along side your complimentary home-baked scones. 

 

What's in each box?

We offer three different Goodie Boxes:

• Breakfast basics;
• Breakfast deluxe; and
• Cornish Feast.

Here's what's in each Goodie Box.

 

Breakfast Basics (£30.00)

8 rashers of smoked back bacon, 4 pork, sage & black pepper sausages, 1/2 dozen organic eggs, 2 litres of St Piran's semi-skimmed milk, 250g pack of Trewithen salted butter, 1 large wholemeal loaf, 1 litre of organic orange juice.

 

Breakfast Deluxe (£50.00)

Everything in the Breakfast Basics Box above plus 250g flat mushrooms, 250g tomatoes, 1 x 415g tin Heinz backed beans, 1 x 227g jar of Boddington's marmalade, 500g bananas, 800g Dorset Cereals berries and cherries muesli, 750ml Helford apple juice.

 

Cornish Feast (£120.00)

Everything in the Breakfast Deluxe Box above plus 227g jar of Boddington's strawberry jam, a Rowe's safron cake, a pack of 25 Tregothnan classic tea bags, 1 x 100g Furniss all butter fudge, 1 x 200g Furniss clotted cream shortbread biscuits, 2 x Rowe's medium cornish pasties (frozen), 2 x Little Cornish Curry Company chicken curries (frozen), 2 x Little Cornish Curry Company boiled rice (frozen), 2 x plain nan bread (frozen), 500g Cox's apples, 1 punnet of seasonal soft fruits, 500g seedless white grapes, 1kg Cornish new potatoes, 500g carrots, 350g broccoli, 1 bulb of garlic, 1 lettuce, 1 cucumber, 1 green pepper.
