Oh yes they are, (sorry still in panto mode here!) a bit later than last year when we recorded our first daffs in the garden on the 14th December, this year the frosts have set them back a bit, but today one has finally flowered.
Our Christmas guests have had some fantastic weather and it looks like more sunshine for the New Year, so we will keep an eye out for other signs of spring.
Our grey seal is at Turnaware nearly every day now and has been joined by half a dozen swans and three mallards as well as the resident grey heron.
On a walk along the river to St Just in Roseland we spotted several common sandpipers – identified by their bobbing up and down and the distinctive three note call it gives when it flies away.
