National Marine Week

July 23, 2016 - August 6, 2016

Summer is simply not complete without a visit to the coast, so join Cornwall Wildlife Trust and delight in our dolphins during this year’s National Marine Week to celebrate our amazing sea life!
Take a cliff-top walk, watch sea birds soar and see what else you might spot as you soak up the sounds of the lapping seas.  National Marine Week (25 Jul-9 Aug) offers endless opportunities and events to day-trippers and holiday-makers keen to discover dolphin delights, whilst savouring our shorelines.
If you have never seen a bottlenose dolphin off the coast of Cornwall or want to learn more about them, then now is your chance this summer with Cornwall Wildlife Trusts Marine Week events! Wildlife Trust experts will be on hand at the following selection of sea watches and dolphin themed shore events;
Wednesday 29th July (10.30am -12.30pm)
Polzeath Get Crafty – Diving into Dolphins with the Polzeath Marine Conservation Group
Sunday 2nd August (10.00am – 2.00pm)
St Agnes Seaquest whale, dolphin, seal and shark watch with the St Agnes Marine Conservation Group
Sunday 2nd August (11.00am – 2.00pm)
Prussia Cove Seaquest whale, dolphin, seal and shark watch with Cornwall Wildlife Trust
A shoal of other events to celebrate our seas will be happening throughout Marine Week, including rockpool rambles and seaside strolls along the strandline.  All around the coast, staff and volunteers will be sharing their knowledge so, whether you want to find out more about the seven species of dolphin which live in UK waters or relax on a rockpool ramble, there will be events at which to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the sea and learn more about its riches.
Tuesday 28th July 2015
Helford Snorkel Safari with Cornwall Wildlife Trust
3.00pm – 4.00pm
Join Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s marine biologists to celebrate National Marine Week with a 1 hour guided wildlife snorkel around the rocks, reefs and eel grass beds of the Helford.  Booking essential.
