St Piran’s Day is the national day of Cornwall held on 5 March every year.
The day is named after one of the patron saints of Cornwall – Saint Piran. He also happens to be the patron saint of tin miners. There are normally many events throughout Cornwall celebrating this day. Look out for parades of events in Truro, Falmouth, Bodmin and Redruth.
